Medical Receptionist Diploma

Our Medical Receptionist Diploma offers the opportunity to gain high-level professional skills that will help you gain work as a Receptionist or Administrator within a variety of medical environments, such as Hospital Administration, Surgeries or Private Medical Practices. With this Diploma you’ll gain practical and professional administrative skills such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Business Communications. You’ll also cover subjects specifically aimed for those working within a medical environment such as Medical Terminology and Medical Word Processing.
A big plus with this new Medical Diploma course is the inclusion of an online training course for Socrates GP Practice software, which is one of the electives available, in addition to the 7 core subjects. Once you’ve completed your studies you’ll gain a Pitman Training Diploma that is widely recognised throughout Ireland, where many of our previous students have gained employment in the Medical field.

Once you have studied these core courses, you have the option to select one additional elective subject from a list that includes the online Socrates GP Practice course. This extra flexibility ensures you can tailor the diploma to your requirements, making sure you maximise your learning experience with us.
How long will it take, and what next?
The guideline learning time for the Medical Receptionist Diploma is around 140 hours, or 6 to 7 weeks if studying full time.
