Introduction to Digital Marketing

This module teaches students how to harness the power of digital marketing as a core driver of a business’s marketing strategy. Students will learn about the key concepts of digital marketing and how it differs from traditional marketing, as well as how these two practices can be implemented to complement each other.

Search Marketing: SEO

This module teaches key concepts and terminology, and equips students with the technical skills and insight required to build and maintain an effective SEO strategy. It will introduce a range of specialist tools, optimization techniques, as well as keyword research practices and link building tactics that will drive website traffic and generate customer conversions.

Search Marketing: PPC

Students will learn how to implement and manage an enhanced Pay-Per-Click campaign to increase brand awareness and extend reach. The module will teach keyword research, refined audience targeting, craft compelling ad copy and creative along with creating and running an optimized AdWords campaign.

Digital Display Advertising

This module will equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to implement and manage an effective display ad campaign. Students will learn how to create and run effective display ads, and develop an understanding of the available ad formats and their relevance to specific target audiences.

Email Marketing

Upon completion of this module, students will be able to design, create and implement email marketing campaigns that will increase customer reach and sales. Social Media Marketing 1 & 2

Through these two modules students will learn how to effectively engage with and acquire customers across a diverse range of platforms, and be able to identify the suitability of different platforms (free and paid) for achieving their aims and objectives.

Mobile Marketing

Students will be equipped with the technical knowledge and skills needed to build and maintain an effective mobile marketing strategy. The module will teach them how to run effective SMS campaigns and gain an understanding of essential mobile practices such as NFC, app development and Bluetooth along with optimizing a website for mobile devices to secure maximum conversions and create innovative social media techniques.

Analytics

Students will learn how to efficiently monitor and optimize digital marketing strategy, and develop an understanding of key analytics platforms and metrics that can help measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.

Strategy & Planning

This module adopts a structured approach that brings together all strands of the PDDM and culminates in a comprehensive, coherent digital marketing plan. It will enable students to conduct essential situation analysis and audience definition exercises, and develop clear and meaningful objectives against which to benchmark the success of digital marketing activities.

Course Assessment

The assessment for the Professional Diploma is based on a formal computer-based examination that will measure individual’s knowledge and digital proficiency following completion of the program.

A range of different question formats are used including True or False, Text-based Multiple Choice, Image-based Multiple Choice, Matching, Fill in the Blank and Hot Spot questions.

Our computer-based examinations are delivered through the Pearson VUE test center network which consists of over 5,200 centers in 180 countries.

The use of Pearson VUE to deliver our exams increases the value of international certification offered by the Digital Marketing Institute and provides students with a quality examination experience.
